The Nano Mission is an initiative launched by the Government of India in 2007, under the aegis of the Department of Science and Technology (DST). It aims to foster, promote, and develop research and development in the field of nanotechnology. The mission is designed to support both fundamental and applied research, as well as the development of human resources and infrastructure to promote nanotechnology in India.
