What is Ferroelectric Random Access Memory (FeRAM)?
Ferroelectric Random Access Memory, commonly known as FeRAM, is a type of non-volatile memory that combines the fast read and write capabilities of Dynamic RAM (DRAM) with the non-volatility of Flash memory. FeRAM utilizes a ferroelectric layer to maintain data even when the power is turned off. This unique property is due to the spontaneous polarization of ferroelectric materials, which can be reversed by an external electric field.
