How Does ANSI Develop Standards in Nanotechnology?
ANSI does not itself develop standards. Instead, it accredits other organizations to develop standards. For nanotechnology, ANSI works closely with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) through its Nanotechnology Standards Panel (NSP). The NSP brings together stakeholders from various sectors, including industry, government, academia, and consumer groups, to develop standards that address the needs of the nanotechnology community.
