Regulations for the disposal of nanomaterials vary by country and are still evolving. In the United States, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) provide some guidelines. The European Union has also implemented directives under the REACH regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) to manage nanomaterials. However, there is a need for more comprehensive and specific regulations to address the unique challenges posed by nanomaterials.
