Emulsion diffusion involves the creation of an emulsion, a mixture of two immiscible liquids where one is dispersed in the other in the form of droplets. In the context of nanotechnology, typically, a solvent containing the material to be nanoparticulated is emulsified into a non-solvent. As the solvent diffuses out, the material precipitates into nanoparticles.
