There are primarily two categories of cells: prokaryotic and eukaryotic. Prokaryotic cells, such as bacteria, lack a defined nucleus and other organelles. Eukaryotic cells, found in plants, animals, and fungi, have a well-defined nucleus and numerous organelles.
