Despite their advantages, scroll pumps do have some limitations:
Higher Initial Cost: Scroll pumps are generally more expensive upfront compared to other types of vacuum pumps. Limited to Medium Vacuum Applications: While capable of achieving high vacuums, scroll pumps are not suitable for ultra-high vacuum applications requiring pressures lower than 10^-6 Torr.
