What are the Limitations of Current Imaging Techniques?
Despite their advanced capabilities, current imaging techniques have limitations. For instance, SEM and TEM require vacuum conditions, which may not be suitable for all types of samples. AFM can be slow and is limited by the tip's sharpness and stability. STM requires conductive samples, which restricts its applicability. Addressing these limitations is a focus of ongoing research in nanotechnology imaging.
