What are the Challenges in Developing Nanoemulsions?
Despite their numerous advantages, developing nanoemulsions poses several challenges. Achieving a stable nanoemulsion requires precise control over the formulation and processing conditions. The use of surfactants and co-surfactants is often necessary to stabilize the nano-sized droplets, but their selection and concentration need to be carefully optimized. Additionally, scaling up the production of nanoemulsions from the laboratory to industrial scale remains a significant hurdle.
