Is There a Risk of Exacerbating Existing Inequities?
While nanotechnology has the potential to bridge gaps, it also carries the risk of exacerbating existing inequities. Access to cutting-edge nanotechnological treatments may be limited to wealthier, predominantly non-minority communities, further deepening the divide. Policies need to be implemented to ensure that the benefits of nanotechnology are equitably distributed.
