The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) is a private, independent, nonprofit institution that provides engineering leadership in service to the United States. As part of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, the NAE offers expertise and guidance on engineering and technology issues, including the rapidly evolving field of nanotechnology.
