Terahertz (THz) radiation refers to the electromagnetic waves within the frequency range of 0.1 to 10 THz, bridging the gap between microwave and infrared frequencies. It is also known as submillimeter radiation. This frequency range is often referred to as the Terahertz Gap because of the historical challenge in generating and detecting THz waves efficiently.
