The Curie temperature, named after Pierre Curie, is the temperature at which a material loses its permanent magnetic properties and becomes paramagnetic. In other words, the material's intrinsic magnetic moments are aligned randomly due to thermal agitation, and the material can no longer maintain a spontaneous magnetization.
