Addition polymerization is a chemical process in which monomers with double or triple bonds react to form a polymer. Unlike condensation polymerization, no small molecules are released during the reaction. This process is also known as chain-growth polymerization and is fundamental in the creation of various polymers, such as polyethylene and polypropylene.
