What are the Limitations of These Microscopy Techniques?
While powerful, each microscopy technique has its limitations:
SEM requires conductive samples and provides limited information about the internal structure. TEM requires very thin samples and can be complex to prepare. AFM can be slow and has a limited scanning area. STM requires extremely clean and stable surfaces and is limited to conductive materials.
