Despite its advantages, Raman spectroscopy has some limitations:
Low sensitivity: The Raman effect is inherently weak, making it difficult to detect low concentrations of substances. Fluorescence interference: Fluorescent samples can overwhelm the Raman signal, complicating the analysis. Cost: High-quality Raman spectrometers can be expensive. Complex data interpretation: The spectra can be complex, requiring expert knowledge to interpret correctly.
