Despite its many advantages, MACE also has some limitations:
Metal Residues: Residual metal particles can remain on the substrate after etching, which may require additional cleaning steps. Surface Roughness: The etched surfaces can sometimes be rough, affecting the performance of the resulting nanostructures. Material Compatibility: Not all materials are compatible with MACE, limiting its application to certain substrates.
