Sample preparation: Preparing thin, uniform samples can be challenging, especially for some nanomaterials. Surface finish: The sample surfaces must be well-prepared to ensure accurate measurements, as surface imperfections can affect the thermal wave propagation. Material properties: Accurate determination of thermal conductivity requires knowledge of the material's density and specific heat capacity, which may not always be readily available for nanomaterials.
