Despite their advantages, BSEDs have some limitations:
Sample Preparation: Samples often need to be coated with a conductive material, which can be challenging for certain nanomaterials. Depth of Penetration: BSEs originate from deeper within the sample compared to secondary electrons, which might limit surface sensitivity. Charging Effects: Non-conductive samples can accumulate charge, distorting the image.
