Regulation is a significant challenge in the field of nanotechnology. Due to the novel properties of nanomaterials, existing regulatory frameworks may not be adequate to ensure safety. There is a need for international collaboration to develop standardized guidelines and testing protocols. The European Union and the United States have begun to address these issues, but a global consensus is necessary.
